I have reached the end of the road now. My days at Madison, Wisconsin are just ticking by. This is the time when events or experiences I had here start to flash through my memory. This is when a person starts to feel sad because he/she have to leave all those great memories with frens behind, and start a new chapter in his/her life.
I already experienced it before when I had to leave my boarding school, MRSM PC. I know I have mentioned MRSM PC many times in my blog and its very annoying, but the only reason why I do that is, I miss my MRSM PC days a lot. The memories I had with Serip, Lijid, Pok Yie, Jaha and my ex-classmates. The fun days I spent with Badeq, Tajul, JOEHANdsome, Kode a.k.a Adam Z Taylor and my ex-roommates. And my frens Xack, Mazree, Mat Shah and everybody else. All of you just made my experience at Pengkalan Chepa unforgettable. If any of you are wondering why there are no female names, well, MRSM PC is in Kelantan man, go figure. This picture was taken when everybody was done with the SPM exams. We sort of made our own road trip to Pengkalan Kubor and did a little shopping.
When the day came for me to leave to school, I felt like crying. No seriously. I'm not being poyo or nak jual minyak to attract the girls. Serious shit sedey gile. I was one of the last dudes to leave my room (dorm room), and everytime one of em' left the room for good, I thought to myself "Holy shit! there's a big chance I'm won't see him ever again (gile gay). Out of my 10 roommates, only 6 I have met, Badeq and Kode obviously dak US, the other dudes either jumpe skali due or none at all.
Anyhow, I'm going through the same emotions all over again. At least Pengkalan Chepa is only 8 hours from KL. Madison is 24 hours away and costs more than a thousand bucks. I know once I leave this place I'm never coming back. Once I step into the airplane, I'm never gonna experience how it feels like to be a badger fan. All the memories I had, can only be remembered through photographs and videos. Here are some of the memories I had here in Madison. This pic was taken at Mount Rushmore with the dudes from Madison. Gua Spiderman berambut panjang tuh.
I know JPA can't wait to give me that flight ticket. But do I want the ticket in the first place? Do I want to step into the plane leaving all the good times behind and get ready for a new challenge? Only time will tell.

Lolita: Ohhh Yeah Babeh
Hello everybody. Haven't seen u guys for awhile now. Cut me some slack will ya .. this is my final sem and I desparately need to get the grades. Not that I'm taking many classes actually .. 4 courses that would total only 11 credits, but the thing is 2 of those courses are paper/presentation kind of classes. It's a huge slap on my face coz I'm neither a presenter nor am I a writer. Seriously the main reason why I blog is to improve my writing skills.
Anyways, one of these courses was LCA 300; Introduction to the Middle East. Yes it is a humanities course and since it's a non engineering class all of y'all will assume that it's a piece of cake. Well, not quite. The class talks about a variety of stuff that ranges from the cultures of Middle Eastern people to the U.S - Middle East relations. YAWWWNNNNN. Zzz Zzz Zzz.
Seriously, I fell asleep everytime I go to class, which would be only 5 times coz after that I couldn't stand being in the damn lecture knowing that I'm not gonna learn anything. Might as well take sweet nap back in my comfy bed. I ended up skipping the whole freaking semester. That's not really a big problem since my instructor gave me take home exams and papers. But when a person skips the whole sem then it's an issue coz I basically knew shit bout the course everytime my instructor gave a paper or an exam.
About 3 weeks ago, my prof asked the class to write a 6 page paper based on this book "Reading Lolita in Tehran Blahblah by Azar Nafisi". He gave about 2 weeks to do the task. Being the lazy ass mofo that I am, I only bought the book after a week. So I got 1 week to read the damn book and do some writing, while having another 3500 word paper due the same week.
The book is about how Iranian women are subjected to gender discrimination by their leaders; which are all men. The women are oppressed, in politics, education or economy. They have no power, no voice and no nothing. Blahblahblah. It's like listening to your mother babbling about what you have done wrong. "Hisyam!!! Dah pukol 5 ptg kenape bilik x kemas lagi. Dah Form 3 pon x reti kemas bilik ke blahblahblahblah" That actually happened to me everyday back then. Yes, my mom calls me Hisyam and no, it ain't funny.
Anyhow, I was yawning after reading 5 pages; the book is like 300 pages full of women's issues. No offence but I never had any interest in feminism or terrorism for that matter. To me those who are feminists are lesbians, coz they have a big 'interest' in women. Kwakwakwa. How typical of me. C'mon girls .. men are expected to be shallow minded. So basically the book was boring and I was in no mood to write about feminism.
But I do remember there was this one time when I read in the newspapers about something that happened in Pakistan. This was after the September 11 attacks and the U.S already branded Pakistan to be an Islamic terrorist breeding ground. What had happened was a man and a woman were caught having a relationship. Both of them were from rival tribes in Pakistan. The woman's tribal leaders (which were all men) decided since she humiliated their tribe, the best punishment was to humiliate her and her family. So, the tribal leaders gangraped her. The dude escaped unpunished. Let me remind you that Pakistan not only is considered as an Islamic nation, they are part of the al-Qaeda network. Now, for a country that treats Islam so highly but disrespects women in such a way that the men treat women like slaves, is truly unIslamic.
That was practically what i wrote in my paper. Goreng2 sikit .. got 6 pages kwakwakwa. To think of it I read less than 30 pages of the book. However, now that the semester's over .. I've got nothing to do. Most of my friends have gone back. Dok menyangap je aaa. I may have to finish reading the other 90 percent of the book just to kill the time. WAAAaaaaaaaa. How pathetic my life is.

Bak kate Lil Jon, "Whuuttt!!!!"
I read this in Utusan today:
"DOHA – Jaguh lumba basikal negara Josiah Ng memecahkan rekod Sukan Asia dalam acara 200 meter pecut lelaki dan kemudian bersama-sama Mohd. Rizal Tisin tidak perlu mengerah tenaga untuk layak ke suku akhir apabila lawan mereka ‘‘tidak muncul kerana takut kepada Si Harimau.”"
Takut kpd Si Harimau?? WTF is that suppose to mean. I know the M'sian contingent is wearing a tiger like tracksuit or whuteva, but takut kpd Si Harimau? Since when did Utusan turned into Dimana Joe Jambul bersama Nurzizi Zulkifli? WOW ingat lagi name

Man Utd 3 - 1 Manchester JKR
Yes the picture says everything. Man Utd won the derby game, by a 2 goal margin too. Even though Manchester JKR got one goal thru Trabelsi and I have to admit his goal was marvellous, JKR's defense was next to useless. Man Utd's attack force was rioting in front of JKR's goal and the only thing JKR did was they were running around like a bunch of retards who don't know what the hell is going on.
All 3 United forwards got a goal each and none of the goals were beautiful actually. They were all because of JKR's defensive errors. If Rooney, Saha and Ronaldo were more consistent/accurate with their shots on goal, they could've gotten 2 or more goals each. That's how easy the JKR's defence was. Even Joey Bontot couldn't do anything to save his team. He was practically invisible throughout the game. Maybe Stephen Ireland got a nice shot at United's goal but Van Der Sar a.k.a "Si Panjang" was all over it.
And to think of it, all this while Serip has been bragging about how JKR was going to kick United's ass at Old Trafford. Yeah right. Dream on fat bastard.
Hail Cristiano Ronaldo. He got the Player of the Month award too. IMO, he's going to be United's and perhaps the Premiership's Player of the Season. Ohh c'mon just look at his pretty boy face. Maybe the rest of England still hates him for gettin' Rooney sent off during the World Cup, but I definitely think the girls looovvvvvveeeee him. Muke jambu cam tuh pompuan mane x syioookkk.

Are you for show G?
Yesterday or the day before I read in Utusan about a Minister who was concern about Bukit Bintang's image, tarnished by the illegal pimping (like there's legal pimping anyways) that's going on in that area. The Minister feared that this might draw the tourists away from Bukit Bintang coz these tourists might feel that it is not safe to hang around or clubbing in BB, bcoz of the hoe's presence.
I simply don't understand why the pimping activities would coz a negative impact on tourism for BB. Look at Thailand for instance, European men go there just bcoz they know that they can have sex with underage Asian girls on the cheap. They basically have to pay the price of a 2 litre Coca-Cola bottle to have sex. How awesome is that. That's definitely gonna bring in the Euro currency and help improve the country's currency exchange isn't it?
Now if you wanna tell me that it is unethical to do that bcoz Malaysia is an Islamic country whuteva, then why don't you abolish nightclubs and perhaps ban alcohol too. Then Jeslina Hashim can't tell the newspapers that JAIS treated her unfairly, bcoz she can't go to ZOUK in the first place. Warghwarghwargh. "Mak bapak saya cakap saya boleh pakai camni. Kenape JAIS nak hantar saya masuk jail pasal pemakaian x senonoh pulak?" Masalah .. masalah.
Anyhew, there's another article in Utusan that caught my attention. There was this 77 year old dude who shot his neighbor with a rifle bcoz he taught his neighbor was a monkey on a tree near his house. First of all, why the hell is a 77 year old man handling a rifle? You ain't Dick Cheney man. He should know he's already 77 years old and pretty much has useless eyesight, why operate a damn rifle in the first place? I know that old man is practically blind, but it is so hard to distinguish a man from a monkey? Dah aaa jiran sendiri pon x kenal ke?
We all live a weird world where things that make no sense at all keep on occuring. What happened to the old fashioned murder/snatch/rape cases? Bukan dulu byk kes rogol ke? Takkan perogol2 sume mogok kot?
p.s I'm not saying the rapists should start raping people. I was just being sarcastic.

Presentation woes
In the past 2 weeks, I've had 2 big presentations. I haven't had any presentations in English since my English 118 days and that was in Freshman year. There is a huge difference between presenting in English 118 and in a technical communicaions class, EPD 397. In 118, everybody in that class comes from a non-English speaking background and their english sucked just as bad as mine. You don't really give a shit if you make grammatical mistakes or you just can't fine the right words to describe what you're saying; because in that class you are expected to make those silly idiotic errors.
This is definitely not the case in EPD 397. The majority of my classmates are white males (there is one white chick and she's cute too WOWIE). There are a couple of Asians but they are either Asian-Americans or Asians who have lived in the States for a couple of years before going to college. And then there's me, a dude who only started speaking English in Freshman year, or perhaps Sophomore coz most of the time I hanged out with Malaysian anyways so not much of English was used then.
But that was then and this is now. My English is probably 10 times better than it was in Freshman year but still not good enough compared to the Americans. As a matter of fact, like a month ago I had to give a 2 minute talk in front of the class and I was already a nervous wreck. I know it's only 2 minutes but the thing is I have a phobia speaking in front of people.
Yes I do have a fear that people might laugh at me when I talk and this has been going on since the start of my school days or perhaps even kindergarten. If you have read my first couple of writings on this blog, like a year ago or something I wrote about how I got badwool to be the address of my blog. Yes that's how I would pronouce my own name back in day, even until I was 16 years old. Everybody in the class laughed at me, including the teachers everytime I introduced myself. How the hell do you think I felt when even my closest friends were ROFL coz I couldn't say my own name?
It was a month or two after I entered MRSM PC did I first able to pronounce my own name the right way. I remembered during the first week I called Serip, Aswif and he didn't even realize I was calling him. I was the only one in the school who called him Omar (His name is Asrif Omar). But that all changed after a couple of weeks, I actually practiced pronouncing the letter 'r' since elementary/primary school but I only got it right at the age of 16. You heard that? Nak sebut huruf R pon kene practice.
Anyhew, bcoz I had that fear of being laughed at, I was practically shaking in front of those people, both in my group and individual presentation. Both presentation lasted about 15 minutes. I mean my fingers were trembling. Somehow I kept on doing 'uhhh' and 'aaaa'. I could at least practice for the presentation part, but there was still the Question & Answer session. That's the part where I got grilled 'well done'. I just didn't know what to expect from my instructor of my classmates. Sometimes they'll ask you like super hard core questions, that requires you to think outside the box or whuteva.
That's what actually happened during my group presentation. My instructor told commented "That's not what the question is asking you to do. You're suppose to be talking bout how blahblahblah." Kantoi depan sume org. My group was so shocked, we were basically speechless. Didn't know how to defend ourselves.
Thank god for my research paper was about the Environmental Impacts of Using Palm Oil as a Biofuel. My individual presentation wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. None of my classmates no anything about Palm Oil. warghwarghwargh. All of them asked me stupid questions, it wasn't challenging at all. Thank god.

FBI finally catches last Osama Bin Laden
Warghwarghwargh .. just playin this picture was taken during the Halloween parade on State St. at my university. This year's celebration wasn't as smashing as it used to be for the last couple of years I've been here. Mr Po-Po (as in the police if u didn't know) wanted to prevent riots and weirds things from occuring; it actually happened bout 2 years ago. Yes Madtowners are crazy people indeed.
What the city of Madison did was charging 5 bucks per head. They said the reason behind this was last year the cost of controlling 100,000 drunk college students was about $400,000; that includes the police, stadium sized lights, etc. I guessed those leher merahs figured that if we charge the kids 5 bucks, we might get half a mil. Throw in a couple of lame concerts by bands nobody has ever heard off, we got ourselves a god damn celebration yeehaa.
Damn those leher merahs. The parade sucked Steve-O's balls for real. First let me say that I wasn't in any costume as the dudes over here weren't in the 'mood'. It's the time of the month kot haha. Men have that too sometimes. I suggested that since everybody yg pegi was in the soccer team why don't we dress as soccer players? We don't have to waste our money buying costumes isn't it? Those lame ass MOFOS ROFL at me.
I was the only one with some Halloween spirit even though I wasn't in my Johnny Depp Pirate wannabe costume. I had the time of my life last year. The dudes I went with were in the mood for some partyin' and I enjoyed every single moment of it. Too bad my last Halloween here (hopefully it's not) in Madison is the lousiest.

MAS loses it
If you look at the picture you'll know what I'm talking about. The fight to be the best Malaysian airline company. MAS has established itself as the frontrunner in this competition as it has been in the airline business for awhile now. I remember the first time I flew with MAS. I was in standard 4 and my family went back to Penang the end of the year school break. But actually that wasn't the main reason why we went back, I was going to have my circumcision ceremony done over there. Everything went smooth and then my dad realizes that it's not a good idea to bring me to KL in the car, coz I'll be sitting at the backsit with my 3 sisters and my crotch would be crammed. My dick would hurt so bad, I would wish " Ohh God .. Why didn't you gave me a vagina???". Therefore, my father bought the flight tickets for me and my mom. Guess what was on my mind when I first stepped into the plane? Like any other man .. I thought about my dick. At least I got an excuse. I had to pull my pants in the crotch area, making sure my pants didn't touch my package. Boys, you would understand the first couple of days of circumcision. It was so embarassing. I couldn't even enjoy my first flight pon.Anyways, back MAS vs AirAsia. AirAsia has established itself as a low budget carrier in Malaysia. I mean they were selling flight tickets for as low as RM9.99. Sape xnak beli. MAS was still the premier airline and AirAsia was just a lousy cheapskate low class airline. But all this changed when AirAsia signed a multi million dollar contract with Manchester United. AirAsia was going to be one of many Manchester United sponsors.I've got to hand it to Tony Fernandes. How he took AirAsia from a debt-ridden airline that was about to go bankcrupt to a very successful company that's making more money than Malaysia Airlines. Tony said so himself, he bought the company for only 1 ringgit, because AirAsia had so many debts to companies such as Petronas, MAS and Malaysian Airports. Nobody's gonna sell an airline company for 1 ringgit if it only owes a couple of hundred bucks. The debts were in millions and millions of ringgit. And now the company's doing so well that they have extended their deal with Man Utd. You can see AirAsia on the advertisement board by the sidelines in Old Trafford. How awesome is that?? Everytime Man Utd plays at home you can see AirAsia displayed on the boards. I know I'm not that patriotic but seeing that just makes me proud of being a Malaysian. Tony Fernandes took AirAsia from the lowest of lows to a height where people had never imagine the airline would go. Now AirAsia is not only doing local flights, they have Indon and Thai branches of AirAsia too. Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, China and Macau are all covered.MAS on the other hand ain't doing so good. They've posted quarterly loss for local flights so many times. I guess they are paying their stewards/ess too much but all stewards/ess do is sleep around and make porn movies. warghwarghwargh. Kidding. Don't wanna get my ass sued. MAS is so jealous of AirAsia's success that they'll do anything to get people to buy their tickets. This is one example. C'mon man. How low can you get?? Malaysian Airlines is suppose to be the pride of the nation. MAS is suppose to carry our country's name along with theirs. But putting their name on somebody's breasts just to get the attention?? If a company like AirAsia can make deals with Man Utd why can't MAS. Even though I like looking at breasts (duuhh), but when I saw MAS's logo on em', I was really embarassed. It's like MAS is so desperate, they'll do whatever it takes to get their tickets sold. I guess the people at MAS figured that since there'll be a lot of people looking at the girls' breasts, then those people will definitely see our logo. Be more professional will ya. Use your freakin brain.

Northwestern develops brand new retards
First of all, before I start my blog I would like to say that I'm proud I chose Uni of Wisconsin coz the dudes here are all low profile .. rilek2 je even though ade sorang due beyonce wannabe .. bebudak sume x menggelabah.I was working at the library and got so bored, I decided to have a look at Cilipadi's website. I found their organization to be fun and really 'active'. By active I mean .. retarded. From the pictures, it's obvious Asrif is the most retardest compared to Alip, Reza, Azman or Jering. If there were a World's Most Retardest contest, he would have won it. Hell he might be the president of Retard Association of America. If somehow you have some sympathy for these Northwestern retards, don't bother wasting your time. These dudes have to be bitchslapped a couple of times and forced to smell Baron Studdard's fart.
Here is Cilipadi
Photos were taken and modified without the permission of Cilipadi. The photos were too stupid, I had to copy 'em.
Selamat Hari Raya (Jodeq Style)
I did this video in my 2nd year celebrating Raya oversees. This was when my mini-dv was still functioning. The guys from OSU did their own 'pengemuman Raya' thing, somehow Madi, Jodeq and I were interested in making Madison's own 'pengemuman Raya'.
As usual Jodeq mmg xde halnye, either he loves performing or he likes doing embarassing things. We didn't have any idea where to shoot the video, so we decided my living room would be the 'ideal' location. Both Madi and I hanged some sejadahs in the background to create a warmth Raya feeling I guess. Arrange some Raya cards too at the back. Mmg stok xde modal nye. Nampak sgt production house xde duit.
Even though the set up wasn't as fascinating as a Raya Bersama Wings di TV9, Jodeq made the video something worthwhile to watch, probably because he's a born entertainer. He can always crack a joke or two at anytime. He was the man who made the video special. Long Live Jodeq.Kepada sume pembace blog aku yg setia, nih duit raya utk korang.

Hari Raya Alif Ba Ta
This year's raya celebration was the best I've ever experienced throughout my 4 years here in the States. In case you're not from Madison, Wisconsin, we had our celebration and bacaan takbir at the Alif Ba Ta Frat house. It was on the last day of Ramadhan and we were all on Raya mood at that time.
Since it was a weekend, we had time plenty of time to prepare the food. The seniors (I'm considered as a super senior I guess), the batch after mine wanted to throw a big ass Raya celebration and since the boys had a big house to themselves, it was decided that on the eve of Raya we would be having a Malaysian style frat party.
What's so great about it was the food as that was the first time I have ever tasted lemang in the States. The boys with the help of Mr. Kerol did the lemang. Kerol also oversaw the rendang ayam and daging which I guess was the reason why the food tasted like we ordered it straight from M'sia. It was overwhelming as when we tasted the lemang, it felt like we were back home celebrating with our families.I have to admit that after spending close to 4 years here, I almost lost my raya spirit totally. I guess I assimilated into the American society who are cultureless and believe that traditional values are for conservatives only. Those valuse are going to keep us from moving forward and thinking outside the box. Prior to the celebration, I assumed that Raya was gonna past just like that, as I have an exam and a paper the coming week. I wasn't even thinking of Raya at all. But these guys reminded me how fun it was to celebrate Raya and I enjoyed every second of it.
I have to hand it to the guys at Alif Ba Ta for their efforts in making this year's Raya a good closure to my 4 year stint in the States. You guys really outdid yourselves. Thanks guys.

Berita Terkini Hiburan Sensasi
I just read on Utusan Online that Siti Nurhaliza got a Datuk from Sultan Pahang. I thought to get a Datuk one has to do something really big like Datuk Azhar Mansor or Datuk Michele Yeoh or perhaps make some contributions to the society. What kind of contribution did Siti gave us? Her songs?
Come on aaa .. just because your marriage ceremony was broadcast live on TV doesn't mean you're the most important person in the world. According to Utusan, "Siti sebelum ini dianugerahi Darjah Kebesaran Keempat Negeri Pahang - Ahli Ahmad Shah Pahang (AAP), Paduka Mahkota Perak (PMP) dan Johan Setia Mahkota (JSM)." Damn byk gile pangkat minah nih dpt.
Now I remember, during Siti's wedding ceremony, Sultan Pahang was invited to do the 'tepak sirih' thing for Siti and Datuk K. No wonder he gave her the Datuk.
The Utusan article is here
Sorry for this mistake but it's not 'tepak sirih' that Sultan Pahang was invited to do but it was 'merenjis'. I just remembered I saw the Tepak Sirih at the United Nations in New York and then I remembered I did the 'merenjis' thing at Suri's wedding. Hahaha .. sendiri buat pon boley lupe. I guess if I took Malay Culture 101, I would fail the class haha.

I Love You ... Man Utd (Part 2)
After Man Utd became the treble winners in 1999, their form on the field wasn't as good as it used to be. They fluctuated between 1st and 3rd for a couple of seasons. To add to that misery, Becks left the club in 2003 after he had a row with the MAN himself, Ferguson.
Moreover, on the same year, Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich bought Chelsea FC for a reported £60 million and have spent more than £200 million rebuilding the squad, buying world class players such as Shevchenko, Robben and Ballack. He basically bought every seasons' premiership title with his wealth, putting more pressure on Man Utd.
Perhaps this was the reason why Ruud van Nistelrooy was sold to Real Madrid last season. Fergie wanted his players to perform at the time when the team was trailing Roman's boys. Somehow Ruud couldn't find his form and Fergie quickly opted for Saha. Time and time again Ruud had to start on the bench, which made him pissed off at Fergie. I mean Ruud is a world class striker and if 70,000 fans can scream Ruuuuudd everytime he scores, that shows how important Ruud is to the squad. The row started and that ended Ruud's career at Man Utd.
It has been years since I started criticizing the club that I have loved for more than 10 years. I'm angry at Fergie for selling influential players like Becks and Ruud, and I'm also pissed off at the club for not spending enough money on buying world class players. The club earns around £160 million a year (that doesn't include Glazers loan to buy the club) but last summer they only spent £17 million on Carrick. BTW, who the hell is Carrick anyways? When Man Utd could have bought cheap world class players from Juventus, they opted for a nobody from Spurs. WTF??
My anger just keeps on piling up and yet everytime they play in the Premiership or the Champions League, I'll be watching whether on TV or streaming online. I just can't keep my mind off of them. No matter how much I hate the club, I'll keep on supporting them. My undying devotion towards Man Utd will remain til the day I die. I guess I'm in the same situation as Jimmy Fallon in Fever Pitch. When you have loved someone/something for so long, you will love that person/thing no matter what.
These pictures were taken when I went to Old Trafford, I would never imagine myself going there my whole life but thank god I had the opportunity. Even though I had limited amount of money to spend on my Eurotrip, I still managed to spend a couple of pounds on Man Utd souvenirs. These items will remain close to my heart til I hold my last breath. If anybody wants to take them away from me, he/she can walk over my dead body.
If I could, I would like to be buried wearing nothing but my Man Utd flag. Since that's against my religious believes, maybe I could give it to my kid and hence create a tradition in my family. Just like Serip, he followed his dad's love for Man City.
Every weekend, my heart jumps and I would get goosebumps thinking about whether or not the Devils are gonna win. My craze for Man Utd can't be describe in words. I love you ... Man Utd, with all my heart and soul.

I love you .... Man Utd (part 1)
Since everybody is writing about their favorite football club, Serip has written numerous times bout Man City, and Samer and Jeghi both have written bout Liverpool, it's my turn to say something bout my passionate love affair with a club called Manchester United.
My love for Man Utd started back in the early 90s when Steve Bruce was still playing in defense for the Red Devils. Back then, Man Utd was dominating the English Premiership just like Barisan Nasional had total power over M'sian politics. Nobody could touch them. It was like they had supernatural powers (they - Man Utd n BN) krohkroh.
Man Utd was continuously winning games and sometimes against their bitter sweet rivals which at that time was Liverpool; Arsenal and Chelsea followed behind. Man City was never to be found. City was probably in Division 2, a league they are supposed to be right now.
Why I fell for Man Utd? Well the Devils were the biggest thing to ever happened to English Football. Like I said they 'were', because up until when Abrahamovic bought Chelsea, everytime the media mentioned something about the Premiership, Man Utd was definitely in them. From Fergie's golden boys to back to back championships to the England squad having more than 5 Man Utd players.
Ohh yeah one more, the legend himself .. there were two legends (from 90s till now) actually or perhaps 3?? Well Ruud and Becks are playing at Real Madrid right now so that means only man stands tall above the rest .. he could perhaps be the best Man Utd player ever. It's Eric Cantona.
Cantona was revered by football fans as one of the biggest stars of modern football. His skills, ball control and maturity on the field made him known around the world and even Malaysia. I have to admit I was a huge Cantona fan myself coz everytime I got a glimpse of him on TV (back then you can't see much of football), I would be amazed at how calm he was at controlling the ball and the play of the game.
I remembered there was one time he did a back heel when an opponent was trying to mark him. The movements of Cantona's body and legs were so subtle that not only the opponent didn't expect what he was doing but the crowd too. Everybody was at awe by how smooth he did the backheel that even Fergie was smilling at the dug out. And everybody could recognize his signature, his collars lifted everytime he played, like he was in the mob. He was a gangstar on the field allright. I try to forget the incident when he kung fued a crystal palace fan, that was a dark moment in every Man Utd fan's memory of their fav football club. But who really gives a rats ass about Crystal Palace (or Man City) anyways.
In Malaysia, Cantona was like Michael Jordan for bball fans in the states. Everybody was like trying to imitate what he was doing on the field, including me even though I wasn't that good back then (cam bagus aa skrang). I guess that was the reason why Cantona came out with he own line of clothing called Cantona7 and I was a sucker for it. When I was in Melawati High School, every boy was either wearing Jun Saito or Cantona7 trousers to school. I remembered on the weekends I have frequent Sg Wang just to go to the Cantona7 shop. It just gave me pleasure to wear trousers that have a tag on the side, with the number 7 written on it and Cantona7 stitched on the top of the right back pocket. Felt like a gangstar wearing those pants coz in school only the badboys had it.
Well, the Man Utd fanatism reached its peak when the Devils clinched back to back Premiership titles and also the winners of the UEFA Champions League. There were critics who said that Bayern Munchen were the ones who deserved to be the 1999 champs of Europe. I mean, Man Utd were trailing until the 90th minute when Sheringham scored the equaliser and a minute later Solskjaer scored the winner, and the rest was history. People can say it was pure luck but which football game isn't. It don't matter how good you are if lady luck ain't on your side, you ain't gonna win.

Eimranians 99/00
From left Jaha, I.K, ME, Serip, Pengetua, Talahah, Lijid, Zarif, Taufiq, Pok Yie, Segho and Shah
Yeah that's me in the picture and I know my hairdo sucked .... It's been awhile since the last time I talked to any of my ex-classmates ..the boys I mean .. except for serip, we keep in touch almost a couple of times a week. Feels like a decade ago was the moment we last spent together.
I still remember during the orientation week we had to perform a dikir barat (DB)with some dudes from other classes but the majority of the boys went to a Pengakap camping trip. So, at that time we only have like 10 dudes and I was the only non-Kelantanese/T'ganu in the DB team. Serip poser Kelantanese nak buat camne.
Imagine performing a DB performance with 10 boys. Sorang tukang karut, sorang tukang ketuk baldi dan sorang tukang goncang bende yg ade bijik sagu/beras tuh. I forgot the name. And we were left with 7 to sing the song.
Anyhew, after the Kelantanese dudes wrote the DB song, yes they wrote the song themselves .. power tak ingat .. it was time for everybody to start singing. The first time we practiced singing the song everybody forgot that there was a non-kelantanese/T'ganu dude in the team who neither has any experience performing DB nor has he seen a DB performance.
Kat skola2 KL mane standard perform DB .. nanti bebudak modern nih cakap kite conservative or whuteva. Kalau performance kat Melawati high school pon panggil MOB, that's Melawati Old Boys yang ade nyanyi lagu skali ngan Too Phat tuh .. I forgot the name of the song though.
Back to the DB performance, realizing that I don't have prior experience bout DB (Serip berlagak cam die born and raise kat Kelantan), Pok Yie suddenly said " Ho bado, cubo mu teghay nyanyi sikik .. mu soghe jah nyanyi .. nok pastike sebute mu betul deh .. mu buke oghe Kelate ke..." I was like WTF??? Natang mende mamat nih cakap satu bende aku x paham. Serip laa jugak being the Kelantan poser that he is .. translated for me.
Again I was like WTF, camne nak nyanyi nih. Did forget to mention that the song is in kecek kelate? Yes!! I was in a room surrounded by strangers who want me to perform something that I have never seen, and sing a song from a language I have never heard before.
Everybody was staring at me .. including Serip(budget Kelantan abis aaaa) !#@$!@#$! aaAAAaa!!! So, I started singing .. the second I finished the first line, everybody was laughing at me again including Serip (Dok Subang nak berlagak cam org Kelantan lak). I was so freaking annoyed. They were ROFL their asses off. Panas gile. I was like mmg garenti aku kene pulau ngan bebudak nih.
But as a matter of fact, they did teach me how to pronouce every word even though there were some laughs in the way. I had to practice really hard coz those words I have never heard before in my entire life. I was like learning a new language and I had to sing in that language in a week. It was tough memorizing it but I made through come the performance night.
Even though we only had 10 dudes, others had between 15 to 20, our performance was awesome primarily because we only had one non-Kelantanese in the group, me. And the good thing bout it was there were 5 groups performing and we got 3rd. How great was that? With 10 guys, we defeated 2 other groups. Bangge aa jugak kan. Because the amount of time I spent learning the song until now I can still remember the chorus. Yes I can still remember it even after 7 years and here it goes:
emareseng Pengkale Chepo, hey!,
Maktak Bitagha tahung pertamo,
Cikgu-cikgu hebak berpengalame,
Banyok ghage dale pelajaghe, hey!,
Apo kaba cikgu-cikgu .. hok kito semuo,
Cikgu-cikgu .. kami semuo dagoke ilmu,
haghak buwi tapo sege silu.
The good thing that I got from the DB performance was that was the reason why within a month I could understand the words that were coming out of my Kelantanese/T'ganu classmates. Yes, it took me a month. Before that I could only have a conversation with Serip but sometimes Serip nak poser Kelantan die, ditched me and hanged around with the Kelantanese dudes, so gua xde member aa basically. Some KL dudes even took like 6 months to understand the language.
My kecek kelate is a lil rusty now since I haven't talked in Kelantanese in awhile but I can still understand it though the basic conversation and maybe talk a lil.

Hidup PAS
This is really weird and I'm not sure where I read this news. I heard that PAS Kelantan is offering RM 10,000 to those who marry non-Muslims. They will get their 10 large after their spouse converted to Islam of course.
But don't you think it's strange it is to offer someone money for inviting a person to join Islam. I always believe that if a person wants to convert to Islam, he/she has to do it because his/her heart tells him/her that that's the right thing to do. Even though the other spouse is getting the money, he/she should have invite the non-Muslim to join the religion because he/she believes its the right thing to do not because of 10 grand.
But if you think deeply, RM10,000 is a lot of money and it is so tempting that you can't hardly say no. It is sort of like a catalyst .. suddenly you feel like you want to marry a non-Muslim because at the back of your mind you want that cash. You can buy nice clothes, pay the deposit for a new car or house and perhaps pay for your honeymoon.
As you can see, it really attracts the attention of Muslims into inviting non-Muslims into Islam and marrying them. Maybe the initial intention was wrong but at least the person invited a non-Muslim into Islam, right? Maybe later the converted one can start learning about Islam or whuteva. But still I have to hand it to PAS .. that's a good tactic .. a little bit dirty but gets the job done.

Freedom of Speech
On Tuesday I bought USA TODAY. Yes I did buy USA TODAY and yes I do read newspapers. What I found so amusing but somehow pissed me off was that bloggers right now are being sued, up to millions. This article was on the front page of USA TODAY for god's sake.
Apparently, there was this dude who got charged with DUI, so he got a lawyer. After the procedings started, the dude somehow had a fight with the lawyer so he fired him (the lawyer). Then, in his blog he wrote bad things about the lawyer for example, and I quote from USA TODAY ".. blog was accusing the lawyer of bribing judges on behalf of drug dealers." The dude was instructed by the court to pay the lawyer $50,000.
I don't know whether to support the dude or to criticize him. On one hand, what the dude did was wrong. A person just can't falsely accuse other people of doing such things especially when it might affect other people's profession and also dignity. Kutuk Siti ngan Datuk K xpe aaa. Aku tgk misai Datuk K tuh aku dah panas. Die mengingatkan aku kpd seseorang dari Chicago yang ku amat tidak suke.
Back to what I was talking about, the dude. Yes I do think it was wrong for him to say things that might harm the lawyers credibility and reputation. But on the other hand, I do believe in Freedom of Speech. Every person has the right to voice out their opinion no matter how bad it sounds. It's a way to encourage open-minded thinking I guess because when you write about something, people who read the blog have the opportunity to comment on it and this will be a catalyst to start a discussion on the idea that the blog first wanted to express. Bapak complex ayat, aku bace balik pon x paham.
Anyways, I just want to say something about my blog. I would like to thank everybody who have been regularly reading my thoughts that I jot down on this blog. I'm really happy that this blog even though there's nothing fancy about it, can reach 5000 hits in less than a year. Thank you for sticking by this blog all this while. If you keep on checking out my blog then I will continue bringing interesting things for you to read. Again, thank you.

Datuk K invests his sausage in CTbank
First of all, I know I should've talked about this like a month ago but I've been busy with Career Fair and stuff plus my New York trip made me postponed the topic until now.
About Datuk K. I heard this from somebody I just met. I don't wanna say it's the truth bcoz I don't have the facts. It's up to you whether you want to believe it or not. Nanti cakap aku fitnah plak. Anyhew, Datuk K or Datuk Khalid Jiwa started as a bank clerk/officer. Somehow he met Tengku Zawyah Tengku Izham and ended up marrying her. How he met her I don't know .. maybe he had connections or something.
After marrying the royal family, he got all the connections and money that he needed. I mean when you're married to the royals, you're bound to meet the rich and the famous. Then, he started building his own empire from his wife's cash which would mount to millions. After about 10-15 years, he already established himself in the political as well as the economic scene. I'm not sure about this (forgot kind of) but Datuk K met Siti through a function that one of his companies held. From then on, he started pursuing her.
You may asked how an attractive woman like Siti can be attracted to a rotten fruit like Datuk K. Well according to celebvids.co.uk, he lured her with a Mercedes CLS350 worth about RM900,000 and a house worth more than RM1 million. Nak ngorat Siti kene belanje sampai 2 juta ... damn G. Mr. Tarudin without thinking straight away gave Datuk K the green light. C'mon man .. org kampung dpt 2 juta mau pikir lagi buat ape? kawin trus aaa. But Datuk K and Siti didn't get married right away. They did go out for sometime before tying the knot. Datuk K had his divorce papers to think about at the same time.
I'm pretty sure the dating/luring process didn't take a long time. If you think about it, if you're a 50 year old pervert and you're dating the most popular singer in Malaysia and Indonesia who's earning pretty much RM1 million a year, would you think twice about marrying her? To get Siti he had to get rid of his wife Tengku Zawyah (not by killing her duh). Tengku Z asked for 2 bungalows worth RM1.8 million, cash and probably some properties totaling about RM 9 million. He agreed to all her demands and the divorce was settled. Datuk K was single again and free to marry Siti.
Now comes the wedding ceremony. It was held at the KL Convention Centre and was broadcast live on TV3. Mawi and Ina/Ani's dialogue thing was shown live on RTM. That's not the stupid part yet. What shocked me was I heard that this was talked about in the Parliament. The Parliament members discussed about which event they want to broadcast on RTM. What in the world is actually wrong with Malaysians nowadays? If our political leaders are already that stupid, how are we suppose to trust them into improving our country and help us move towards Wawasan 2020 ???
Shouldn't they be talking about our country's economy or education or something that's useful and beneficial to all Malaysians ?? Why should we give a rats ass about Siti Nurhaliza getting married when there're wars going on in the Middle East? It's not like Siti is going to lose her virginity on national television. Then, it's definitely worth it. But, apparently the majority of Malaysians do care about Siti and that's why she and Datuk K got RM1million from TV3 for the wedding ceremony at KLCC. Moreover, there were thousands of Siti's fans at KLCC wanting to watch her tie the knot. If I'm not mistaken, the event was even broadcast on prime time (8 pm).
I know Siti Nurhaliza is the most popular singer in Malaysia and Indonesia. She could be the most popular porn star for all I care. But this obsession with her has got to stop NOW! Don't you think it's crazy to choose Siti's wedding over prime time news? I remember when I was kid my dad used to tell me that 8 pm is news time. Until today he will never let me or my siblings watch anything other than the news at 8pm. I don't why but Malaysia has become more and more ridiculous over the years.
Datin Siti ???? WOW .. X dpt Datuk, Datin pon jadik laaa

Thanx a bunch
Before I start writing another blog, I would like to thank Nafis, Kolid, Esyam, Kakak Nafis and others from Minnesota who made my trip a memorable moment in my life. You guys really made my day during the 15 days I spent with all of you. Everytime I went to Minneapolis, I would always come back with great memories. Thanx guys.
I would also like to invite Nafis, Kolid and Kode to come to this year's Halloween event here in Madison. Probably you all could get better costumes this time instead of that lousy Scary Movie costume. Caution though, this year you have to pay 5 bucks to enter the area (sort of like cover charge at nightclubs I guess)
In case you're wondering, Esyam wasn't in the pic coz he was the one taking the picture.

Bush wasn't there
The trip from Niagara to DC exhausting as we traveled in the middle of night and I was the co-driver from 12 am til 6.30 in the morning. That's was like the first time I've stayed up in a year or so, with help from Nafis' Red Bull. We arrived at Kak Rod's house approximately 8 am and our level of tiredness was ... well the best way to describe it is what engineers usually use when the value is to big ... yeah infinity. But hearing that Kak Rod already cooked breakfast .. Nasi Goreng I think it was ... made us stay up a lil bit longer. Bile lagi org laki nak makan masakan ibu cam nih isn't it?
Anyhew, after getting to know Kak Rod a lil bit more during breakfast, we decided that it would be best for us to get some sleep since most of us were deprived of any sleep during the trip, excluding Nafis' sister who slept soundly through out the trip. Perhaps she thought that men are the ones who should drive women wherever women want to go. I thought women were the ones who asked for equal treatment?
Then, what the hell is this?? Saje nak emo lebey .. But Akak Nafis did belanje us a couple of times so I guess we all owed her.
After 2 hours of sleep, I was so not in the mood to move around and take pictures, the only mood I had was continuing my sleep. But we had to coz we only have one day in DC. We headed straight towards the Washington Monument. We've been calling it pencil through out the trip. I only learnt its name from Fido, after coming back from the trip. Basically we only went there to take pictures and then we went to the Abraham Lincoln Museum (I think that was the name of the place). Took pictures and moved on.
After that we went to another museum that had IMAX movies. So, we went to see Ant Bully. It wasn't an enjoyable experience as the IMAX 3D thing kind of suck IMO (I learn this IMO shit from Serip). The movie was good, it was just the glasses and the 3D part that disappointed me. I tried wearing the damn glasses but somehow I got a headache just by doing that. Then I tried watching the movie without the glasses, which gave me a bigger headache. Its a 3D movie so on the screen you can see 2 images side by side, at a single time. You'll see a 3D image when you wear the glasses. Since I wasn't comfortable with the glasses, I had to watch the damn thing for like 1 1/2 hours.
We didn't bother going to the thousands of museums that were in DC. I personally have never had any interest in American, world or Malaysian history. I remembered that in high school everytime in history class, I'll be yawning every couple of minutes. I'm an engineer man. Engineers don't give a rats ass about the history. They think about how they want to shape the future. WOW some words of wisdom coming from a wiseass.
Moving on, we went to the White House, not literally. We could only take pictures from outside. I noticed that there were a couple of US soldiers around the White House probably bcoz of the 9/11 attacks. Nak usya2 and amik gambar pon payah so we decided to go to the Capitol of the US. By that time it was already dark, so we only managed a couple of photos from the outside.
So, we went back to Kak Rod's house, hungry and exhausted. Sekali tgk Kak Rod buat masakan ibu lagi for us WOOOWWW syiioookkkkk abis. Beberape lauk plak tuh Kak Rod masak. Syiookkk x ingat. While having dinner, we chatted with Kak Rod and her husband Abg Zali I think his name was. Dan2 tgh mkn anak pompuan Kak Rod pon dtg join borak skali. WOW syiookk abih. Rupe2nye Kak Rod nih boley tahan cool gak tapi suami die jauh lagi cool. Tahap cool die, even though he's 40 years old still boley lepak kedai mamak skali ngan kiteorg. But the funniest thing about him was, if there was a club for all the MCPs in the world, mmg Abg Zali laaa president. Mmg die boley jadik idola aku aaa. Haha Kelakar gile borak ngan die. Anak pompuan die pon boley tahan cool gak siap die citer ade member lesbian die ajak die jadi lesbo. Yg aku x tahan Kak Rod ngan Abg Zali rilek je dengar anak die nih bercerite .. bapak coolnye diorang nih. Nih baru happy family namenye.
The next morning, we knew our flight was at 5.30 pm. So we had to move fast coz NY traffic is like hell for sure. We were ready by 10 and it was breakfast time. Skali Kak Rod buat masakan ibu lagi. This time it was Nasi Goreng campo cokodok. Cokodok tuh syiookk gile sampai pecah perut aku makan. By 11 we already left Kak Rod's house for JFK. Actually DC to NY is like 4 hours but we got into some traffic and by the time we arrived it was already 6 pm. Thank god our flight was delayed from 5.30 to 6.45. We still managed to catch the flight and went straight back home, Minessota that is.

Niagara
After a couple of awe-inspiring days in NYC, we left the city for Niagara. We arrived at the airport to get our car at around 10 am but somehow National didn't cleaned/vacuumed our car yet. We had to wait there for like 45 minutes under the hot sun. NYC to Niagara is about 8 hours not including stops. So by the looks of it, we would be arriving at 7 if we hadn't stop, but the problem was he had to stop for lunch and gas and going to the loo. At 7 the whole place would be so dark that only we couldn't see anything at all and we would ended up with frustation as that was the only time in our lives that we had the chance to go and watch one of the wonders of the world, the Niagara Falls.
We knew that if we didn't do something only a miracle would get us there in time. So, Nafis being the 'Speed Freak' that he is, took the responsibility of driving our compact car as fast as he could. One could call him man of the day as he got us just as the sun was about to set. We were so busy taking pictures of the first part of the falls that we didn't realized there was a bigger one that lies ahead. It was the one that made people stare at it with awe, the reason why people were so eager to see how immense Niagara Falls is.
It was me who saw there was another, of God's creations that was so ravishingly stunning it left us staring at it; speechless. It was huge. It was like the ocean and the water flowed toward one end and went downward in a rapid descent by the force of gravity. It was so amazing how gigantic the waterfall was. Unfortunately it was already dark and we tried taking pictures but every single one of them didn't turn out good. We could only buy postcards.
We were really disappointed and hungry and as we were going out of the waterfall area we found a Muslim stall that sold Halal food. They had chicken shawarma, kebabs and everything you can think of. We hadn't had any chicken for the last couple of days. It was the perfect cure to our sorrow. We left Niagara with a mixture of sadness and satisfaction; the chicken was awesome man. It was another 9 hours to DC.
