Self-Improvement

Hello there ladies and gents. I've noticed that a lot of bloggers have posted their 'New Year's Resolution'. First of all let me say that I'm not a copycat. I've never set any yearly targets my whole life.

I'm a firm believer in self-improvement, meaning, if I think something is important and needs to be done, I'll do it. Its as simple as that. No need to have my resolutions done in colorful fonts, taped on the wall next to my bed. My mom will think I've turned into a fag.

But somehow I feel there's a necessity to set some targets this year. I've already started working now. The day will come when I sacrifice my singlehood and let a woman run and have total control over my life (well that's what happens to all married men right??). I'm not saying I'm gonna get married this year. I would probably still be single after 5 years who knows right? Anyhew, what I'm trying to say is that one day I will have to live on my own, with my own family and this leads to my first target.

1. Buying a HOUSE
I know its a long shot for me expecially since I just started working for about 7 months now. Even I've asked myself "Where the hell are you going to find the cash??" I've not started my search yet. What I know is with my current earnings there's no way I can afford a 2 storey or even a single storey house for that matter.

An apartment would suite me just fine. Maybe around 200K perhaps? You maybe curious as to why the fuck am I worried about buying a property when I haven't even worked for 1 whole year?? Well my friend .. looking at the classifieds lately have made me realize that the price for houses have skyrocketed. If I wait 5 more years to buy a house, the only area I can afford to pay would be Rawang or Hulu Selangor or somewhere fuckin far away from the city.

So basically this year I'll try to save enough money to pay for the d/p. 10% would still cost me around 20K. Mane laa aku nak carik duit byk cam tuh, only God knows.

My next set of targets are practically the same thing I've had for years.

2. Keeping my weight at 65 Kg
I've had this target since I was in Junior year in college. The reason was back then I came back to M'sia for the summer holidays after 2.5 years and .... let's just say I missed M'sian food ... a lot. My weight went up to 72 kg. The fattest I've been my whole life. Thank God Ramadhan was right after the summer hols. That helped a lot. I also had to jog every day to trim down the last couple of kilos of FAT.

Now I manage to keep it at 65 Kg, I owe that solely to the weekly futsal meetings, organized by this fat fuck.Btw, Serip, posing ko dlm gambar nih mmg yg TORRRRRBAIK.

Last but not least,
3. Controlling my EXPENSES
I've had this since forever. Born to 2 accountants, it's in my genes to know how to spend my money wisely. I'm not the kind of person who buys things without proper assessment of whther ornot I need them. Even when I had credit cards, I'll always make my payments on time. Never been on credit before. Always on debit.

Well that's about it dudes. (Crossing my fingers) hopefully I'll achieve my targets.

Big Daddy

I guess by now everybody would've heard about a sex scandal concerning one of our respectable ministers or used to be respectable perhaps? Anyhew, what suprised me was that he wasn't ashamed of what he has done to his wife and family. The way he responded as though having sex out of wedlock is something common in M'sia.

What's more suprising to me is that our favorite leader, Datuk Seri Sharizat is keeping mum on the issue. She is supposed to be the person responsible for changing our community's way of treating women and if I'm not mistaken she started a campaign that had a motto, "Suami sayang Isteri" or something.

And yet, when one of her colleagues, a member of the cabinet, did the opposite thing, she's keeping her mouth shut. The man cheated on his wife and she, the Minister for Women's Development is doing nothing at all.

So much for lookin' up to the country's leadership. Yeah right...
