Northwestern develops brand new retards

First of all, before I start my blog I would like to say that I'm proud I chose Uni of Wisconsin coz the dudes here are all low profile .. rilek2 je even though ade sorang due beyonce wannabe .. bebudak sume x menggelabah.I was working at the library and got so bored, I decided to have a look at Cilipadi's website. I found their organization to be fun and really 'active'. By active I mean .. retarded. From the pictures, it's obvious Asrif is the most retardest compared to Alip, Reza, Azman or Jering. If there were a World's Most Retardest contest, he would have won it. Hell he might be the president of Retard Association of America. If somehow you have some sympathy for these Northwestern retards, don't bother wasting your time. These dudes have to be bitchslapped a couple of times and forced to smell Baron Studdard's fart.

Here is Cilipadi

Photos were taken and modified without the permission of Cilipadi. The photos were too stupid, I had to copy 'em.

Selamat Hari Raya (Jodeq Style)

I did this video in my 2nd year celebrating Raya oversees. This was when my mini-dv was still functioning. The guys from OSU did their own 'pengemuman Raya' thing, somehow Madi, Jodeq and I were interested in making Madison's own 'pengemuman Raya'.

As usual Jodeq mmg xde halnye, either he loves performing or he likes doing embarassing things. We didn't have any idea where to shoot the video, so we decided my living room would be the 'ideal' location. Both Madi and I hanged some sejadahs in the background to create a warmth Raya feeling I guess. Arrange some Raya cards too at the back. Mmg stok xde modal nye. Nampak sgt production house xde duit.

Even though the set up wasn't as fascinating as a Raya Bersama Wings di TV9, Jodeq made the video something worthwhile to watch, probably because he's a born entertainer. He can always crack a joke or two at anytime. He was the man who made the video special. Long Live Jodeq.Kepada sume pembace blog aku yg setia, nih duit raya utk korang.

Hari Raya Alif Ba Ta

This year's raya celebration was the best I've ever experienced throughout my 4 years here in the States. In case you're not from Madison, Wisconsin, we had our celebration and bacaan takbir at the Alif Ba Ta Frat house. It was on the last day of Ramadhan and we were all on Raya mood at that time.

Since it was a weekend, we had time plenty of time to prepare the food. The seniors (I'm considered as a super senior I guess), the batch after mine wanted to throw a big ass Raya celebration and since the boys had a big house to themselves, it was decided that on the eve of Raya we would be having a Malaysian style frat party.

What's so great about it was the food as that was the first time I have ever tasted lemang in the States. The boys with the help of Mr. Kerol did the lemang. Kerol also oversaw the rendang ayam and daging which I guess was the reason why the food tasted like we ordered it straight from M'sia. It was overwhelming as when we tasted the lemang, it felt like we were back home celebrating with our families.I have to admit that after spending close to 4 years here, I almost lost my raya spirit totally. I guess I assimilated into the American society who are cultureless and believe that traditional values are for conservatives only. Those valuse are going to keep us from moving forward and thinking outside the box. Prior to the celebration, I assumed that Raya was gonna past just like that, as I have an exam and a paper the coming week. I wasn't even thinking of Raya at all. But these guys reminded me how fun it was to celebrate Raya and I enjoyed every second of it.

I have to hand it to the guys at Alif Ba Ta for their efforts in making this year's Raya a good closure to my 4 year stint in the States. You guys really outdid yourselves. Thanks guys.

Berita Terkini Hiburan Sensasi

I just read on Utusan Online that Siti Nurhaliza got a Datuk from Sultan Pahang. I thought to get a Datuk one has to do something really big like Datuk Azhar Mansor or Datuk Michele Yeoh or perhaps make some contributions to the society. What kind of contribution did Siti gave us? Her songs?

Come on aaa .. just because your marriage ceremony was broadcast live on TV doesn't mean you're the most important person in the world. According to Utusan, "Siti sebelum ini dianugerahi Darjah Kebesaran Keempat Negeri Pahang - Ahli Ahmad Shah Pahang (AAP), Paduka Mahkota Perak (PMP) dan Johan Setia Mahkota (JSM)." Damn byk gile pangkat minah nih dpt.

Now I remember, during Siti's wedding ceremony, Sultan Pahang was invited to do the 'tepak sirih' thing for Siti and Datuk K. No wonder he gave her the Datuk.

The Utusan article is here

Sorry for this mistake but it's not 'tepak sirih' that Sultan Pahang was invited to do but it was 'merenjis'. I just remembered I saw the Tepak Sirih at the United Nations in New York and then I remembered I did the 'merenjis' thing at Suri's wedding. Hahaha .. sendiri buat pon boley lupe. I guess if I took Malay Culture 101, I would fail the class haha.

I Love You ... Man Utd (Part 2)

After Man Utd became the treble winners in 1999, their form on the field wasn't as good as it used to be. They fluctuated between 1st and 3rd for a couple of seasons. To add to that misery, Becks left the club in 2003 after he had a row with the MAN himself, Ferguson.

Moreover, on the same year, Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich bought Chelsea FC for a reported £60 million and have spent more than £200 million rebuilding the squad, buying world class players such as Shevchenko, Robben and Ballack. He basically bought every seasons' premiership title with his wealth, putting more pressure on Man Utd.

Perhaps this was the reason why Ruud van Nistelrooy was sold to Real Madrid last season. Fergie wanted his players to perform at the time when the team was trailing Roman's boys. Somehow Ruud couldn't find his form and Fergie quickly opted for Saha. Time and time again Ruud had to start on the bench, which made him pissed off at Fergie. I mean Ruud is a world class striker and if 70,000 fans can scream Ruuuuudd everytime he scores, that shows how important Ruud is to the squad. The row started and that ended Ruud's career at Man Utd.

It has been years since I started criticizing the club that I have loved for more than 10 years. I'm angry at Fergie for selling influential players like Becks and Ruud, and I'm also pissed off at the club for not spending enough money on buying world class players. The club earns around £160 million a year (that doesn't include Glazers loan to buy the club) but last summer they only spent £17 million on Carrick. BTW, who the hell is Carrick anyways? When Man Utd could have bought cheap world class players from Juventus, they opted for a nobody from Spurs. WTF??

My anger just keeps on piling up and yet everytime they play in the Premiership or the Champions League, I'll be watching whether on TV or streaming online. I just can't keep my mind off of them. No matter how much I hate the club, I'll keep on supporting them. My undying devotion towards Man Utd will remain til the day I die. I guess I'm in the same situation as Jimmy Fallon in Fever Pitch. When you have loved someone/something for so long, you will love that person/thing no matter what.
These pictures were taken when I went to Old Trafford, I would never imagine myself going there my whole life but thank god I had the opportunity. Even though I had limited amount of money to spend on my Eurotrip, I still managed to spend a couple of pounds on Man Utd souvenirs. These items will remain close to my heart til I hold my last breath. If anybody wants to take them away from me, he/she can walk over my dead body.

If I could, I would like to be buried wearing nothing but my Man Utd flag. Since that's against my religious believes, maybe I could give it to my kid and hence create a tradition in my family. Just like Serip, he followed his dad's love for Man City.

Every weekend, my heart jumps and I would get goosebumps thinking about whether or not the Devils are gonna win. My craze for Man Utd can't be describe in words. I love you ... Man Utd, with all my heart and soul.

I love you .... Man Utd (part 1)

Since everybody is writing about their favorite football club, Serip has written numerous times bout Man City, and Samer and Jeghi both have written bout Liverpool, it's my turn to say something bout my passionate love affair with a club called Manchester United.

My love for Man Utd started back in the early 90s when Steve Bruce was still playing in defense for the Red Devils. Back then, Man Utd was dominating the English Premiership just like Barisan Nasional had total power over M'sian politics. Nobody could touch them. It was like they had supernatural powers (they - Man Utd n BN) krohkroh.

Man Utd was continuously winning games and sometimes against their bitter sweet rivals which at that time was Liverpool; Arsenal and Chelsea followed behind. Man City was never to be found. City was probably in Division 2, a league they are supposed to be right now.

Why I fell for Man Utd? Well the Devils were the biggest thing to ever happened to English Football. Like I said they 'were', because up until when Abrahamovic bought Chelsea, everytime the media mentioned something about the Premiership, Man Utd was definitely in them. From Fergie's golden boys to back to back championships to the England squad having more than 5 Man Utd players.

Ohh yeah one more, the legend himself .. there were two legends (from 90s till now) actually or perhaps 3?? Well Ruud and Becks are playing at Real Madrid right now so that means only man stands tall above the rest .. he could perhaps be the best Man Utd player ever. It's Eric Cantona.

Cantona was revered by football fans as one of the biggest stars of modern football. His skills, ball control and maturity on the field made him known around the world and even Malaysia. I have to admit I was a huge Cantona fan myself coz everytime I got a glimpse of him on TV (back then you can't see much of football), I would be amazed at how calm he was at controlling the ball and the play of the game.

I remembered there was one time he did a back heel when an opponent was trying to mark him. The movements of Cantona's body and legs were so subtle that not only the opponent didn't expect what he was doing but the crowd too. Everybody was at awe by how smooth he did the backheel that even Fergie was smilling at the dug out. And everybody could recognize his signature, his collars lifted everytime he played, like he was in the mob. He was a gangstar on the field allright. I try to forget the incident when he kung fued a crystal palace fan, that was a dark moment in every Man Utd fan's memory of their fav football club. But who really gives a rats ass about Crystal Palace (or Man City) anyways.

In Malaysia, Cantona was like Michael Jordan for bball fans in the states. Everybody was like trying to imitate what he was doing on the field, including me even though I wasn't that good back then (cam bagus aa skrang). I guess that was the reason why Cantona came out with he own line of clothing called Cantona7 and I was a sucker for it. When I was in Melawati High School, every boy was either wearing Jun Saito or Cantona7 trousers to school. I remembered on the weekends I have frequent Sg Wang just to go to the Cantona7 shop. It just gave me pleasure to wear trousers that have a tag on the side, with the number 7 written on it and Cantona7 stitched on the top of the right back pocket. Felt like a gangstar wearing those pants coz in school only the badboys had it.

Well, the Man Utd fanatism reached its peak when the Devils clinched back to back Premiership titles and also the winners of the UEFA Champions League. There were critics who said that Bayern Munchen were the ones who deserved to be the 1999 champs of Europe. I mean, Man Utd were trailing until the 90th minute when Sheringham scored the equaliser and a minute later Solskjaer scored the winner, and the rest was history. People can say it was pure luck but which football game isn't. It don't matter how good you are if lady luck ain't on your side, you ain't gonna win.

Eimranians 99/00

From left Jaha, I.K, ME, Serip, Pengetua, Talahah, Lijid, Zarif, Taufiq, Pok Yie, Segho and Shah

Yeah that's me in the picture and I know my hairdo sucked .... It's been awhile since the last time I talked to any of my ex-classmates ..the boys I mean .. except for serip, we keep in touch almost a couple of times a week. Feels like a decade ago was the moment we last spent together.

I still remember during the orientation week we had to perform a dikir barat (DB)with some dudes from other classes but the majority of the boys went to a Pengakap camping trip. So, at that time we only have like 10 dudes and I was the only non-Kelantanese/T'ganu in the DB team. Serip poser Kelantanese nak buat camne.

Imagine performing a DB performance with 10 boys. Sorang tukang karut, sorang tukang ketuk baldi dan sorang tukang goncang bende yg ade bijik sagu/beras tuh. I forgot the name. And we were left with 7 to sing the song.

Anyhew, after the Kelantanese dudes wrote the DB song, yes they wrote the song themselves .. power tak ingat .. it was time for everybody to start singing. The first time we practiced singing the song everybody forgot that there was a non-kelantanese/T'ganu dude in the team who neither has any experience performing DB nor has he seen a DB performance.

Kat skola2 KL mane standard perform DB .. nanti bebudak modern nih cakap kite conservative or whuteva. Kalau performance kat Melawati high school pon panggil MOB, that's Melawati Old Boys yang ade nyanyi lagu skali ngan Too Phat tuh .. I forgot the name of the song though.

Back to the DB performance, realizing that I don't have prior experience bout DB (Serip berlagak cam die born and raise kat Kelantan), Pok Yie suddenly said " Ho bado, cubo mu teghay nyanyi sikik .. mu soghe jah nyanyi .. nok pastike sebute mu betul deh .. mu buke oghe Kelate ke..." I was like WTF??? Natang mende mamat nih cakap satu bende aku x paham. Serip laa jugak being the Kelantan poser that he is .. translated for me.

Again I was like WTF, camne nak nyanyi nih. Did forget to mention that the song is in kecek kelate? Yes!! I was in a room surrounded by strangers who want me to perform something that I have never seen, and sing a song from a language I have never heard before.

Everybody was staring at me .. including Serip(budget Kelantan abis aaaa) !#@$!@#$! aaAAAaa!!! So, I started singing .. the second I finished the first line, everybody was laughing at me again including Serip (Dok Subang nak berlagak cam org Kelantan lak). I was so freaking annoyed. They were ROFL their asses off. Panas gile. I was like mmg garenti aku kene pulau ngan bebudak nih.

But as a matter of fact, they did teach me how to pronouce every word even though there were some laughs in the way. I had to practice really hard coz those words I have never heard before in my entire life. I was like learning a new language and I had to sing in that language in a week. It was tough memorizing it but I made through come the performance night.

Even though we only had 10 dudes, others had between 15 to 20, our performance was awesome primarily because we only had one non-Kelantanese in the group, me. And the good thing bout it was there were 5 groups performing and we got 3rd. How great was that? With 10 guys, we defeated 2 other groups. Bangge aa jugak kan. Because the amount of time I spent learning the song until now I can still remember the chorus. Yes I can still remember it even after 7 years and here it goes:

emareseng Pengkale Chepo, hey!,
Maktak Bitagha tahung pertamo,
Cikgu-cikgu hebak berpengalame,
Banyok ghage dale pelajaghe, hey!,

Apo kaba cikgu-cikgu .. hok kito semuo,
Cikgu-cikgu .. kami semuo dagoke ilmu,
haghak buwi tapo sege silu.

The good thing that I got from the DB performance was that was the reason why within a month I could understand the words that were coming out of my Kelantanese/T'ganu classmates. Yes, it took me a month. Before that I could only have a conversation with Serip but sometimes Serip nak poser Kelantan die, ditched me and hanged around with the Kelantanese dudes, so gua xde member aa basically. Some KL dudes even took like 6 months to understand the language.

My kecek kelate is a lil rusty now since I haven't talked in Kelantanese in awhile but I can still understand it though the basic conversation and maybe talk a lil.

Hidup PAS

This is really weird and I'm not sure where I read this news. I heard that PAS Kelantan is offering RM 10,000 to those who marry non-Muslims. They will get their 10 large after their spouse converted to Islam of course.

But don't you think it's strange it is to offer someone money for inviting a person to join Islam. I always believe that if a person wants to convert to Islam, he/she has to do it because his/her heart tells him/her that that's the right thing to do. Even though the other spouse is getting the money, he/she should have invite the non-Muslim to join the religion because he/she believes its the right thing to do not because of 10 grand.

But if you think deeply, RM10,000 is a lot of money and it is so tempting that you can't hardly say no. It is sort of like a catalyst .. suddenly you feel like you want to marry a non-Muslim because at the back of your mind you want that cash. You can buy nice clothes, pay the deposit for a new car or house and perhaps pay for your honeymoon.

As you can see, it really attracts the attention of Muslims into inviting non-Muslims into Islam and marrying them. Maybe the initial intention was wrong but at least the person invited a non-Muslim into Islam, right? Maybe later the converted one can start learning about Islam or whuteva. But still I have to hand it to PAS .. that's a good tactic .. a little bit dirty but gets the job done.

Freedom of Speech

On Tuesday I bought USA TODAY. Yes I did buy USA TODAY and yes I do read newspapers. What I found so amusing but somehow pissed me off was that bloggers right now are being sued, up to millions. This article was on the front page of USA TODAY for god's sake.

Apparently, there was this dude who got charged with DUI, so he got a lawyer. After the procedings started, the dude somehow had a fight with the lawyer so he fired him (the lawyer). Then, in his blog he wrote bad things about the lawyer for example, and I quote from USA TODAY ".. blog was accusing the lawyer of bribing judges on behalf of drug dealers." The dude was instructed by the court to pay the lawyer $50,000.

I don't know whether to support the dude or to criticize him. On one hand, what the dude did was wrong. A person just can't falsely accuse other people of doing such things especially when it might affect other people's profession and also dignity. Kutuk Siti ngan Datuk K xpe aaa. Aku tgk misai Datuk K tuh aku dah panas. Die mengingatkan aku kpd seseorang dari Chicago yang ku amat tidak suke.

Back to what I was talking about, the dude. Yes I do think it was wrong for him to say things that might harm the lawyers credibility and reputation. But on the other hand, I do believe in Freedom of Speech. Every person has the right to voice out their opinion no matter how bad it sounds. It's a way to encourage open-minded thinking I guess because when you write about something, people who read the blog have the opportunity to comment on it and this will be a catalyst to start a discussion on the idea that the blog first wanted to express. Bapak complex ayat, aku bace balik pon x paham.

Anyways, I just want to say something about my blog. I would like to thank everybody who have been regularly reading my thoughts that I jot down on this blog. I'm really happy that this blog even though there's nothing fancy about it, can reach 5000 hits in less than a year. Thank you for sticking by this blog all this while. If you keep on checking out my blog then I will continue bringing interesting things for you to read. Again, thank you.
