Love Me Butch

Since I have received a lot of complaints regarding my previous which had mostly criticize many Malaysian artists especially Siti Nurhaliza, I'm gonna do you guys a favor.

I have recently found a video on youtube by accident. I was lookin' for Malaysian battle of the bands stuff like Gempita Fest and somehow I stumbled upon this video.

It's a song by Love Me Butch(LMB) entitled Hollywood Holiday. What impresses so much is that LMB is not that popular in Malaysia. Let me be clearer on that. If you look closer at Malaysia's music scene, there are many bands who have converted from English to Malay just because it's hard for local English bands to survive unless it's Too Phat.

OAG and Flop Poppy are among the bands who have done that. Apparently, it's hard for local Endlish bands to sell more than 10,000 records as the market is not there. Majority of those who buy records only listen to Malay songs and the ones who listen to English songs would prefer to listen to bands from overseas, maybe bcoz they think Malaysian products don't have quality; a common stereotype among Malaysians.

But LMB, a band that has been established even before I went to the States, decided to take a more radical approach I guess. I have to admit that I do have that stereotype in me even though I bought Nakedbreed's yellow covered album (That album was great too). Honestly, I was shocked to find out there's a Malaysian band that can produce such a high quality video that when people watch it, they'll be amazed.

I know it's nothin' big ... the video looks like Incubus's Megalomaniac but by Malaysian standards, it's so mutha phuqin' awesome. I'll bet on my left nut Siti Nurhaliza's videos aren't as good as this. Krohkrohkroh.

So, dah byk gile gua puji English music scene kat M'sia, why don't we all buy their music too. You can go to MUSICCANTEEN to buy them. You can check out the songs for 30 seconds. I think Disagree and Single Track Mind are pretty good. Each song would only cost you 75 cents. C'mon people buy Made in Malaysia products!!
